WEST WING LEARNING SUPPORT CENTER DESCRIPTION

The West Wing Learning Support Center is staffed by Learning Center Specialists who provide Level 1, Resource support in the following areas: test preparation, test make-up, academic support, reading, writing and math skills, organizational assistance, research assistance and guidance in homework completion.

 

GRADING

The West Wing Learning Support Center is a credited class; however, the Pass/Fail grade does not count towards the grade point average.  Students are typically scheduled for one period each day. The Pass/Fail grades will be determined based on the following point system:

1 point
Arrived on time
1 point
Brought and used Daily Planner
1 point
Prepared with materials
1 point
On task
1 point
Accomplished work on given assignments
1 point
Appropriate language and behavior
1 point
Skills Review 1 point
MAXIMUM DAILY TOTAL
8 POINTS
 

Students will need to earn a minimum of 80% of the possible points throughout the trimester in order to receive a passing grade. Grade reports will show P for passing and F for no credit.
