| Student Senate members consists of two branches. An executive board, consisting of a president, vice president, secretary/treasurer, and special committee chairs, meet every Tuesday before school. The senate meets every other Tuesday during rotating class hours. Student senate responsibilities include organization of homecoming, the academy awards, the West High art show and several other student events throughout the year. Student Senate sponsors volunteer services in the community and Big Pig Relays. They also make recommendations to the administration regarding policy, school environment, and other issues of student concern. | ||
