Amazon


A corporate account for use by district librarians has been established with Amazon.com. This account is called ICCSD Librarians. The library coordinator, as Account Manager, will add librarians as Buyers on this account.  Orders may be submitted by authorized Buyers.  Invoicing paperwork is processed by Sue Harms.

How to order resources from Amazon.com:

  • Select items for purchase, and put in a cart.  Determine the total amount. 

  • Email the Purchasing Agent at the CAO to request an electronic PO number. Be certain to indicate the account number.

  • Follow the detailed instructions: How to Place an Order on the Corporate Amazon Account.

  • You (and the library coordinator) will receive an immediate email confirming that the order has been placed. An email with shipping details will soon follow.

  • The items ordered will be shipped to the Tech Center, where the ordered items are checked against the packing list. The items will then be sent in campus mail to the librarian.

Some things to remember:

  • It is still preferable to order items from Baker & Taylor or Follett, because of the availability of cataloging/processing.

  • It is now possible to order used books on this account.  This is helpful when trying to locate out-of-print books.
