West High Class of 1983 Reunion Plans

Hello All,

After much deliberation, the date for the 25-year reunion has been chosen. We will have the event on the 3rd, 4th, & 5th of July. Please believe me when I say we considered many possible dates. Some were ruled out because of conflicts with school, family plans, and weather concerns. We tried to pick a date when people could bring their families, and the 4th of July is full of events in the Iowa City/Coralville area. Of course we realize that some people won't like the date, and we also realize we can't make everyone happy. We honestly hope that everyone will make the effort to come back to Iowa City for the reunion. We felt we couldn't wait any longer to pick a date, so people could make plans to attend.

We will have another meeting to plan specific events on Sunday, March 30th, at 2:00 pm at the Iowa City American Legion. Everyone is invited to come and express their ideas, or just come to meet up and see what's going on. I received a lot of e-mails from people with reunion ideas, and more are welcome! Anyone who would like to help out with the reunion committee is of course invited to let us know. Mike Hull will be in charge of the reunion this year, and he has been giving the event a lot of thought up to this point.

We will, in the next few months, try to locate as many of our classmates as we can. We appeal to everyone to help us contact anyone. We are trying to get current e-mail addresses for everyone, as it seems to be the best way to contact people and keep them informed. Thank you for all of your input, I look forward to hearing from you soon and to seeing you at the 25-year reunion this summer!
