COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is centered on building self-confidence through communication; learning about emotions and self-discipline; improving peer relationships, developing critical thinking skills for decision making and goal setting. An emphasis is also placed on adolescent changes
(puberty), alcohol abuse & related problems.

Eighth grade Personal Development provides information that helps students make positive decisions about their own health. The skills learned in seventh grade Personal Development are reinforced as they look at health issues that affect them.
